If you’ve not tried ‘SMBC’ before, you’re in for a treat… For those that have mastered standard swirls and bog standard buttercream, this floral icing effects class will take you to the next level of deliciousness and decorative intricacy!
On this baking & decorating course you will learn how to make fluffy, light cupcakes topped off with sumptuously smooth & soft swiss meringue buttercream – renowned for it’s creamy sweet flavour and silky, non-grainy texture.
And as if that wasn’t awesome enough, you’ll also learn how to pipe it in 6 different floral icing effects using the minimum of tools and equipment. At the end of the day you will go home with 12 delicious floral iced cupcakes, 2 of each design.
These expert floral styles are ideal for weddings and posh parties but even go down a treat with the kids. The only thing we do need to warn you about is to prepare for is the gasps of amazement and possibly a fight for the last one.

This course is held at our professional bakery and cake decorating shop in Chelmsford in Essex. Car parking is available very nearby if you are driving, otherwise Chelmsford is just a 30 minute train ride from London Liverpool Street station if you decide to travel by train, and our shop just a few minutes walk from the station.
Weekdays 10am to 3:00pm (with lunch break)
Saturdays 11:00am to 4:00pm (with lunch break)
Sundays 12:30pm to 5:00pm (no lunch break)
This course costs £95
The course price includes all baking ingredients, materials, recipe and icing handouts to take home, all sugarcraft tools, equipment, refreshments and of course your dozen beautifully baked and decorated cupcakes all boxed up to take home. If you are wheat / gluten intolerant fear not – with us you can enjoy making AND eating your cakes! Whilst the rest of the group make their own regular cupcakes, you will have your very own set of equipment and special ingredients for a surprisingly delicious Gluten Free version.
