An intensive cake and cupcake decorating course focusing on rolled fondant or ‘sugarpaste’ covering, exquisite sugar floristry and Royal Icing details. 

You will learn how to bake and ice 6 cupcakes with a variety of fondant effects. You will also master the techniques of how to professionally prepare, layer and cover your own larger cake too – ideal for the top of a cupcake display stand.

These beautiful floral cakes and cupcakes are perfect not just for weddings, but any party or event that deserves a touch of class… and indeed the useful skills you will learn for properly preparing and covering cakes can be applied to other birthday or novelty cakes you make going forward.

Course Location
This course is held at our professional bakery and cake decorating shop in Chelmsford in Essex. Parking is available if you are driving, otherwise Chelmsford is just a 30 minute train ride from London Liverpool Street station if you decide to travel by train, and our shop is just a few minutes walk from the station.

Course Times
Weekdays 10am to 3:00pm (with lunch break)
Saturdays 11:00am to 4:00pm (with lunch break)
Sundays 12:30pm to 5:00pm (no lunch break)

The course price includes ready baked cakes and cupcakes, materials, recipe and icing handouts to take home, all sugarcraft tools, equipment and refreshments. At the end of the course you will take home half a dozen beautifully decorated cupcakes and one large ‘cutting cake’ decorated in the style of our ‘Floral Vine’ design. All packaging is also provided.
